Shaylee Church (2017)
Education Intern
Shaylee came to us from Wisconsin with a degree in Wildlife Ecology from the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point. She also extended her coursework to include foundations of Environmental Education and Oral Interpretation Methods. Shaylee led the fall Tots on Trails programs, helped with education programming both on and off site and shared her enthusiasm of wildlife with many people both on and off the refuge.
She created our beautiful “Dr. Seuss” themed children’s table and chair set for the tots aged children. Each chair is themed to an animal found on the refuge and a Dr. Seuss book. The themes of all four chairs are represented together in a beautiful table. Not only did Shaylee make an impact while she was here, she has made a lasting impression on many people of all ages that will come to the refuge.
