Levee Trail
Levee Trail is a short walk that takes you between Lighthouse Pool and the bay.
There’s a lot to see on this short walk. Lighthouse Pool is fresh water and in the fall and winter you’ll see lots of ducks. There are usually wading birds there too: Snowy and Great Egrets, Tricolored Herons and Little Blue Herons are frequent visitors. Old pilings in the gulf are roosts for Brown Pelicans and cormorants.
You can also start at the lighthouse lot and make a full circle around Lighthouse Pool which is about 1 mile. Or, you could start at the Boat Ramp parking lot and make the loop around Lighthouse Pool.
