Wakulla News

Established in 1895, The Wakulla News is the longest continually operating business in Wakulla County. The Wakulla News is the local news source for Crawfordville, Sopchoppy, Panacea, St. Marks, Shell Point and every place in between.

As the county newspaper of record, The Wakulla News focuses on issues that are important to Wakulla County residents and businesses, including news articles, feature and community interest stories, and columns. Readers can consistently find Church News, Waterways, the Opinions Page, Newspapers in Education, and Chamber of Commerce updates, along with display, legal, and classifieds advertising.

Just as our community members encompass a wide variety of demographics from the descendants of pioneer families to newcomers brought to the area by the close proximity to the state capital, two major universities, and a large community college, The Wakulla News strives to provide diversity in coverage to meet the needs of readers.
